UK Threatens Veto on EU over Euro support
UK Prime Minister David Cameron has warned the EU that the UK will not provide any financial support for the failing Eurozone and neither will the UK support a federal Europe or any moves to transfer further powers from Westminster to Brussels. In his first official state visit to Germany last week, Cameron spelled it out clearly to Germany and said there would be no further cooperation in this direction from the UK.
At last! Common sense is beginning to prevail. Better late than never!
The UK has its own economic problems to worry about without throwing away billions more into propping up a currency we dont even use or want.
It seems the Conservatives have returned to a Thatcherite style arms length approach to the EU. Will be interesting to see how that works out with a bunch of Liberals in government with them who are in favour of full EU integration!
